Post here or PM me for further details if you're seriously interested.

I know a somewhat elderly lady residing near Victoria Park Avenue and Eglinton Road and is looking to rent out space. She said she's 5 min from the subway

U of T spring reunion is happening later this month, and grads of any year are welcome to attend. There are certain events geared to "honoured years" or specific colleges/ professional faculties, but other events are welcome to anyone (as well as guests, if you have friends who haven't graduated yet).

One of the better events is the Young Alumni SHAKER, which is just a night for recent grads to chill, meet other grads, and network. People have found new friends, connections to new jobs, and even love interests.  It's always held at a swanky venue downtown, and there is guaranteed to be amazing food to snack on. Cash bar as well.

SHAKER actually happens 3-4 times a year, but there is always one coinciding with spring reunion. The previous one celebrated Chinese New Year and was held at the Metropolitan hotel ; while other past events were at the Trump Hotel; Spin Toronto ( a ping pong lounge), and the TIFF Bell Lightbox.  It's a free event, but the only catch is that U of T has a table set up for you to donate money to them (no pressure- it's only if you choose to do so).

Sign up at https://springreunion.utoronto.ca/events/find. For Step 1, it's OK if your grad year isn't listed, just leave it set to "ALL". You're still welcome, it's just that you're not one of the specially "honoured" grad years.

Tentative event depending on how many willing participants we have.

Please go here: http://doodle.com/2ukwbqnbsf7m9tpp

And make sure to put in the Doodle comments which activities you intend to participate in.

As for the date and specific activities, majority rules of course.

Thank you!  O:-)

UPDATE

The event is on! It'll be on Friday, March 1st.
Looks like we'll have at least 10+ people for the group skate pricing for rentals.
If there are no protests, we'll meet at Ichiban Sushi (250 Queens Quay West location) first at 6:00PM for dinner, then go skating. It looks like the Baskin Robbins will be closed by the time we are done skating

If you're bringing a guest please say so that I know how many to make a reservation for.

TRADE SCHOOL

Everybody has something to teach! People Everyone know that if you ask your friends to help you move, you’re on the hook for pizza and drinks. But what if you wanted to teach people how to crochet? Fix a bike? Paint a landscape? Use Photoshop? Build a desk? What would you "charge" your students?

Be a teacher at the first ever Trade School Toronto at Hart House and let your students barter for your time!

How does it work?

Step 1:
Submit an application with the details of what you want to teach. Visit
http://harthouse.ca/events/trade-school-toronto-at-hart-house/ to submit an
application. Proposals are due by February 15, 2013. Those who apply early
will have their first choice of times and spaces.

Step 2:
If you are selected, decide what you want to charge for your class –
anything except money! Do you want your students to bring a home cooked
meal, an item of clothing, bring supplies for a project you’re working on,
books…anything!

Step 3:
We find the students and you just show up, teach your class and get “paid”!

When: Mar. 7 to Mar. 9 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm
Who: Anyone can be a teacher, or take a class
